Splicing running lines to purse net pegs

STAGE 1

Imagine this is the bottom of your purse net and you have fed the running nylon through the meshes. At this point I used to tie a knot about 6 – 8 inches away from the ring then feed the two ends through the purse net hole and tie another knot, well, not any more; now I get to the point in the picture and do the following.

STAGE 2

Put the bodkin needle through one of the lines.

STAGE 3

Feed the other line end through the eye of the bodkin.

STAGE 4

Now pull the line through like so.

STAGE 5

Now feed the other line through the eye of the bodkin.

STAGE 6

Put the bodkin needle in here and pull the line through.

STAGE 7

You should end up with something like this,

STAGE 8

Now repeat the process until you have done it at least 4 times (I do it 6 times but I’m just fussy) and you will end up with this.

STAGE 9

Now with the two remaining ends put one through the hole in the purse net peg and join together by splicing the two lines together as described in this post. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...showtopic=86720
