SHOTGUN CABINET

Recommended Posts

There is no requirement for the length of the bolts, or indeed which ones to use.

The only thing you need to ensure is that the cabinet is secure and immovable against the wall

Now, I have always used expanding bolts, even for the 14 gunner I've got now, I use four expanding ones.

First of all, measure the holes, I have many a spare bolt because the hole is too small

Then rest the cabinet on the floor, flat against the wall, mark the wall behind where the holes are hey presto.

Just my way of doing it of course, but its not let me down ;)

Hi, just wondered how long the bolts have to be when your fixing your gun cabinet to the wall??

Thanks

There's no set length required by law as long as its secure, and i guess it depends on how big your cabinet is, and the wall your fixing to?

I used 3''(76mm)x0.5''(12.7mm) Rawl bolts into a brick wall for my 4 gun cabinet. make sure you use the right drill bit!!

Most cabinets have holes in the base, so you always have the option of floor fixing as well for extra security.

Hope this helps you mate
