Recommended Posts

hi sorry to hear about the dog. mite i say a mates dog was poisoned by his nxt door neighbour he told me the dog was frothing at the mouth and aving weird looking stools and was ded within 24 hrs sods ehh.

I have just found out the blokes in the neighbouring field has been putting poison down for the rats, i'm guessing that while he was out running the field in the morning he came across a dead/dying rat and ate it because he was a pig for his food, like his father, he'd eat anything. And as for the meat and bones, its was all boiled and mixed with his biscuit, he didnt get much of the bones as i save them for Paddy (because he loves them so much). I am truely, utterly gutted. I didnt want to put this thred on yet, im still devastated about losing him.... so cheers griffo. Gutted!

Calciferol has been banned for some time now.

The only rat poisons which can be legally used contain anticoagulants, which stop the blood clotting. Symptoms include bleeding gums etc.

If this dog was poisoned with Calciferol, then not only has an offence been commited, but the person who has laid the bait has done so irresponsibly. REPORT IT TO NATURAL ENGLAND BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE LOOSES A DOG.

Fecking farmers doing their own baiting really piss me off.
