tom1cameron 1
Heading out to the far reaches of the humber tomorrow, cold, but too bright and in big unknown area for me so not optimistic. On other hand the weather should be fabulous and dawn beautiful so taking camera Newbie wildfowler coming with me, it's his first trip. Ah ha, little does he know that he will become addicted about 6.45am tomorrow morning! Last foray for this season so all my wotsits will be crossed (and likely frozen) for a bag to take home. Will post outcome later??????? Let us all know if you are heading out this weekend and where T
tom1cameron 1
Big thankyou to mudman for hosting myself and a newbie, Alex at the humber yesterday morning. What a beautiful morning (i'll post pictures later), gorgeous wildlife, scenery and plenty of duck around. Just not the right conditions to bring them in close, but I did bag a suicidal drake teal just as we were all packed up an spinning yarns. It was very light and clearly a bit hungry, hence why it came in. Thanks mudman, can't wait to try the place again next year! Plenty of duck there but you need to be far up the lease (seaward) and have a good number of decoys out there and I reckon you will draw them in. Mallards and teal mainly but we did see plenty of wigeon at high tide out on the water circling for a place to rest..... T
yorksjt 0
Cheers. I shoot the south bank but have shot the north with little success. I will give it another go before the season ends, It just means I'll have to untangle my mother lines. Edited February 16, 2009 by yorksjt
