Tiggypud 0
Try putting a tin of sardines (the ones in oil) or cod liver oil into the food. Worked with my saluki cross. Tiggypud
shell 42
A couple of drops of cod liver oil in its feed might help, a couple of times a week. Don't over do it though, as we've found too much oil in their feed can make them a bit loose. shell

summat decent 0
Health comes from inside out, weigh dog, worm dog then feed meat fish egg yolks plenty of pulped vegetables, dandruff can be caused by alot of things.Make sure dog frontline combi or advantage regular, dogs need more animal fat than we realise try getting ox heart feed with fat still on.If your dog lives inside could be caused by central heating, what you wash bedding in etc, outside bedding clean?Answers endless. Have kept black lurchers and whippets over 25yrs screwed up millions of times. Complete food always gave my dogs jacket problems so changed to barf diet. Good luck. Doglost Co-Ordinator 4
If you do keep dog inside dont put ANY detergent, soap powder or anything in wash with it;s bedding. My saluki/grey had bad dandruff, she get conditioning pill & cod liver oil capsule in her tea every night. Took a week to notice difference though, I changed her food as well. She's now clear of dandruff & looks a lot better in herself. I worm with Drontal & use Frontline

DEKAW 85
Had this problem with my Black Lurcher  This is some of the things i did and it has cured the problem. Diet : RAW minced and whole chicken carcass, tripe minced and chunks, rabbits roughly chopped(for some reason he wont entertain them whole) tin of mackerel once a week, vegetable oil and SA37 with every feed. Regular worming and fleaing. Also bath him twice a year with Tesco own brand anti-dandruff shampoo(cheaper than Head and Shoulders) One other thing i forgot to mention the amounts i feed him are 3% of his body weight. Hope this helps
