I lost a good russell bitch all i found was part of charlies back legs and tail. Last year hunting put to ground in a BIG place and got a mark at 23 meters !! never had to dig as charlie was running around trying for a bolt the bitch i put in got caught up in the nets called it a day no fox is worth that dig. foxhunting1 75
i heard of that 28 foot dig, was in the midlands but dont no where abouts, some drop that would be though! Lads, I would be interested to see the photo's of the 28ft dig in Sandbach which needed the JCB as this sounds like my dig. It was a 2 hole place on a small bank, the hounds ran charlie in and we entered a terrier expecting a quick bolt. How rong could I have been, we eventually got a mark and thought OH MY GOD, luckily of of the masters from the hunt has JCB's and was only to willing to assist. Just over 12hrs later the JCB was at full reach and we had to finish the last couple of feet with the shovel, we broke through and there was charlie on a ledge and the bitch was just waiting making sure charlie could not pass.
