humperdingle 0
I'd considered this before... Put a rabbit distress call on a cheap (or old) mobile and set it as ringtone. Then you can simply place the mobile wherever you like and phone it with your own mobile. Won't ever cost you unless you forget what you're doing and leave a voicemail... I'm sure this has been done before, but i'm gonna rig something up I think. You could even get a little speaker to plug in to it to make it louder. Quote Link to post

the Verminator 0
Suck on your hand!! Blow/whistle! Just make squeeking noises with your mouth!! Practice, fox is naturaly curious and will react to lots of types of squeeking, I used my hands/mouth for years until only a year of 2 back when I was so cold/shivering/wet/windswept I simply couldn't make any reasonable noise, and a fox in sight...decided it was time to buy a call.... http://www.foxcalluk.co.uk/ Not the best in the world but does for me most of the time...just £10 when I got it!!! hi, i also have a fox call uk caller, i think that they are good but have you ever found that if there is a bit of drizzle or condensation in the caller then it does not work? i have and its annoying Quote Link to post
sandersj89 0
If you are going the download route then if you look at this page: http://shootingcommunity.co.uk/verminshooting.htm You will see a loink to a 20minute track of a vixen on heat, it is made up of the call and periods of silence. I have this on a phone, set it playing at a likely spot and then retreat to my firing point and sit and wait. Can be quite effective Jerry Quote Link to post
The one 8,477
I would normally use my hands after my son loaded a cottontail rabbit on his phone then when we tried it the fox hightailed it to another country ,But the last time we where out we tried a wigdeon whistle and the fox came in like a steam train only to sit behind a bush then when i moved to my left for the shot he winded us So i reckon if you can find out what other folk in the area are using try something a bit differnt it works Quote Link to post

whippeter69 88
Try getting a 5inch length of hazel chop it in half and cut out 3mm on the inside of both bits then get a length of 8inch of cassette tape and put in from one end to the other inbeteween the two bits and tape or tie the two end tight, but before you do this make sure you pull the cassette tape tight on both ends and then tape/tie it and hey rseto yove got yourself a fox call!
