Sonny Brindle 2
With all the snow we've had here, which is taking ages to go, I haven't been out for over a week apart from short daytime walks, and cabin fever was definitely setting in. So last night, a mate (Paid off here) and I decided to go for a shine, despite the full moon, the patches of snow on the ground and the incredible amount of rain we had yesterday – nearly a month's worth in 24 hrs according to the news today. Thankfully we know a spot which is quite hilly and on sandy ground so it drains well, and against the odds we had a really good night. Even though it was full moon, the cloud cover was dense and low, and there was a decent breeze. After missing their first runs, my whippet Sonny and Paid's lurcher Blue both switched on quickly and we had some spectacular runs and catches. The weather-enforced lay-off didn't seem to do them any harm – the fitness they've built up over the season really paid off. After just under two hours, we finished with 10, six for Blue, four for Sonny, and quite a few near misses too. A good night's work for round here, where the bunnies have been thin on the ground recently. Quote Link to post

Paid 935
We had some luck with the weather, but agree, hard to tell whats out and about, unless you are out there. If you wait for the right night, you could be waiting a long old time. Had perfect weather, no moon nights that have sucked too. Quote Link to post
