martync1967 64 Posted February 10, 2009 Report Share Posted February 10, 2009 going back a few years one march morning i was walking back home from a nights lamping,it was just getting light when i saw three hares boxing in one of my fields so naturaly my young dog gave chase he missed them all,on his way back to me all of a sudden one of the hares came running out of a thicket my dog who was only 18 months old at the time basicaly shit himself as he didnt see it coming,it made me laugh at the dogs reaction having a hare chase him,hunter hunted that was the madest hare ive ever come across in all my years hunting game .has anybody else had or seen this sort of behaviour with the mad march hare Quote Link to post

shaddow 166 Posted February 10, 2009 Report Share Posted February 10, 2009 a few seasons ago a dog of mine was coursing a hare and i was stood beside a gate , the hare ended up getting brought out of sight right towards me , it jumped right at me and hit me in the chest LOL....god knows why it didnt just avoid me and go under the gate , it must have been a mad hare Quote Link to post
shaddow 166 Posted February 10, 2009 Report Share Posted February 10, 2009 another time years ago , my mate had a little collie x greyhound , she used to catch hares but never evre done any damage to them , so my mate ran acroos the field one day after she caught the hare just as he got to the dog and hare , as he got hold of storm , the hare latched on to his welly !!! it was hillarious as he started sqealing and the dog an off and the hare locked on to his welly LOL Quote Link to post
