hw80 does make a good fac gun but once again was prone for strays , dont get me wrong springers are great for fac if you still live in the 90's , pcp are the way forward , no spring clatter etc.. now the fenman ... thats a tool :) but maybe gasram takes things away from the springer :)

"90",s I was shooting springer's in the seventies, :icon_eek: and to this day love em to bits,, if you,ve never been use to shooting a springer then a PCP will be miles better, however if you can shoot good with a springer your great with PCP, doesn't work the other way round,, horses for courses bud,, PS if you look at my signature you will see I also use PCP and CO2,, when I want to put pellet on pellet on paper for the bragging rights, but my two 135,s are between 21-24 FPE and I will constantly hit 10-15 mil bulls-eyes at 30-40 yards, plenty good enough for me, but its only an opinion, ATB,

lol ok , i too started in the 70's ( i quoted 90's as this is when i feel pcp's where coming into there own with reliable seals etc and left springers behind) and also having both i rate pcp , even tho not in my sig i also own both springer and pcp . and exactly the same as you ' this is just my opinion' :)

if i want a airrifle i would probably pick up a good gasram / fenman but for tuning and hi power and accuracy it's pcp all day long for me , the kid wants a licence for an fac air rifle and as a rifle he will probably keep i would probably get a good pcp for the job.

but only my opinion ;)
