Doglost Co-Ordinator 4
Got one that raided box of stuff packed for hols. Other one helped with the eating of it. Unfortunately the main thing was bar of dark choc, both in vets for two days on drips. The older one took 7 months of pills to get liver & pancreas readings anywhere near normal. Fishing hook though- good job you saw it otherwise outcome could have been very different.
SwissTony 0
My mates dog ate a whole box of 8 chocolate Éclairs then a box of chocolate liqueurs.
Guest foxyjo.
That was a close call Wilko! Like Doglost says - good job you saw him do it. I used to have a labrador when I was a kid, used to take her down on the beach. She became poorly and her stomach was hard so we took her to the vet where they did an x-ray and discovered she had pebbles in her!! Silly dog had been swallowing rocks!!! She had to have an operation and they removed 16 of them. Needless to say - she didn't go back on the beach!!

Tiggypud 0
Had a Hancock lurcher a few years ago who would eat anything. One weeks menu:- 3 pairs of shoes, 2 new, 1 old, my reading glasses which he had taken from the dressing table while I was in the shower. my other glasses which he had taken outside chewed and buried in the rockery and a pkt of those knee high socks, which he kept "passing" back to me in the garden full of poo, first time we ever had poo already bagged up for us. littletimmy 71
i was fishing in the summer through the dog some food i didnt fancy eating and fort nothing of it .. looked at her and could see line hanging out of her mouth. Shit myself and tried pulling it back out .. luckily all that was on the other side was a lump of food and the line had just looped around it. It was a close shave Edited February 7, 2009 by littletimmy
