battery help please chaps

I've got a DEBEN TRACER MAX PRO and i want to know a few things please people

 

can i buy a standard 12v 7ah battery as a second while out shooting?

 

also, could i up the amp hour to make it last longer, ie 12v 14ah??

 

would this double the usuable time or just add loads of weight?

I have 2 standard 7.2ah batteries for my Debens and a 9ah.

 

Nothing to stop you carrying around as much ah as you can carry! It's not quite as simple as a 14 giving twice the lamping time of a 7, but in principle the answer is yes it will!!

i also have 2 12v 7ah batteries that i use but if i am planning on being out for hours i will stick the 12v 18 ah in a rucksack and off i go.

Get the new Lithium one, it's awsome. You wont beloieve how light it is.

i just ordered the lithium ion battery pack from north east field sports to replace my lead acid packs will let you know how i get on,im sick of carrying the heavy 20ahr pack on the hill

All shooting and all land/circumstances are different, I am perhaps fortunate that I don't have to cart around 20 ah worth or batteries, if i run short I just change to another 7.2 or 9ah...but around £300 for 20ah Lithium!!!
