harrycatcat 31
My daughter got me looking for a 1 series BMW so I looked on autotrader and one came up that took my fancy. 2006 model 18,500 miles etc for £5300 so I sent him an email to see if its still for sale this is his response ;- Hello there, I am glad to hear that you are interested to buy my 2006 BMW 120D SPORT! Although I am registered in the UK,i recently moved to Huelva, Spain (where my family is from) and the car is being shipped from here. I want to sell it in UK due to the fact that it's an UK version (right handed),it meets all UK standards.I bought this car from UK and It still has UK registration, so you won't have to pay any import and insurance fees. The car meets all United Kindom guidelines so there will be no problem regarding UK Customs policy on receiving the car.The car is in perfect condition, the bodywork is immaculate,no scratches, dents or hidden defects as well as the interior in excellent non-smoking condition , never been implied in any accident and it is as advertised .The car comes with log book, HPI cleared, No finance. You will get from me the keys and all documents to register the car in you name.If the car is not how i described it, i will offer a full refund. It will be insured during transportation and will be delivered at your address in maximum 10 days. Final price is GBP 5,300 (the price includes shipping and insurance fees). The price is low because the car is right hand drive in a country where all cars are left hand drive so in the Spain is very difficult to drive this type of vehicle and nobody wants to buy it here in Spain.Instead of keeping it in garage (during this economical crisis), I decided to sell it to someone back in the UK for a really attractive price. I want to take this opportunity to assure you that this deal is 100% legitimate, the finacial part of this deal will be manage by a third party and in this way both buyer and seller are 100% covered during the steps of this transaction. Let me know if you need any further details or if you would like to buy my 2006 BMW 120D SPORT. Thank you! What happens is you send a deposit and you never see him again. This was my response to him. yes like i would you stupid b*stard you cock suckin motherf*cker I hope you die a slow death of cancer you f*ckin lowlife I was so mad that i had even got sucked in to send him an email

harrycatcat 31
no because it was reported on watchdog the other week and someone lost a couple of grand. I am wild because I was daft enough to send an email not only this one I had same response when I emailed an advert about a range rover that seemed cheap and when I reported it to autotrader they removed it. So no he is NOT genuine.

gnasher16 30,217
With all due respect mate anyone gullible enough to email an ad for a car 30 grand under its value needs to have a word with themself let alone the seller ! Its all very well calling the person a motherfucker and all the other silly names but can you imagine what he,s sat there thinking !.......they say theres one born every day and if that one is not you then why even bother answering the ad....could be a house a car or a pack of rice crispies selling stuff way under its true value usually involves a catch, most people just ignore it Edited February 7, 2009 by gnasher16
Jayd 0
I sell bikes through AT when I'm done with them, have to say I've had chancers try it with me, the old "Send you £3k for a £1k bike, send £2k on to Umboppa Zulu in Nigeria, then I'll arrange transport to pick it up, then arrange the bank to tell you you have just been looted." Why bother?
harrycatcat 31
I do agree with you now that I have calmed down but the first car was only a few grand underprice not 30. The point of my post was for people to be aware. In retrospect it was an over reaction.
