SportingShooter 0
Slightly confused but here goes. Even if you live on an estate with crime problems, it wont stop you getting your SGC. Everywhere has crime problems. Your Enquiry Officer may ask what security provisions you have in place i.e. Cabinet well out of sight, Double glazing, seven lever locks etc etc. If he is really worried about the likelihood of a gun being stolen, he will insist on a more secure premises, such as installing an alarm, but you'll have to get his opinion first. When you say his cert ran out years ago, I take it literally that you mean he has an Off license Shotgun? You need a Shotgun Cert to Legally hold a shotgun. You cannot have one in your possession without one. You will need your safe before you can have your Cert, and your cert before you have your gun. Beware when dealing with unlicensed shotguns, you are likely to land yourself and the owner in trouble. SS Quote Link to post
