solo-hunter 0
Hi, got a Tikka T3 lite in .223, and just wondering what will hold a good group at 100yds. Used to have a CZ 527 American and Remi accutips were perfect, tried them through the Tikka and they were hopless. Any info on what cartridge and grain is good?? Barrel is 1 in 7 twist. Cheers Quote Link to post

lgray88 4
what weight where the accutips? , you may need heavier type bullet for a twist that fast. Either that or try reloading then you can get all your bullets touching at least! liam Quote Link to post
SportingShooter 0
You will need to try as many different brands of ammunition as possible, in as many grains as possible, to find a load that is suitable for the rifle or the purpose. Don't just go heavier, try some lighter. 40gr .223 is an accurate round in many rifles, 50 or 55 seem to be the most common Go and have fun trying out ammo! SS Quote Link to post
lxx73 0
Thought the T3's were either 1 in 8 or 1 in 12 twist. Ive got 1 in 8 .223 varmint and the best factory ammo was Hornady 55gr V max. Quote Link to post
