Hello,

My name is Anna, I live in Hungary (Central-Eastern Europe), in a country where we are still allowed to hunt for red fox and badger in natural circumstances. I'm quite a newbie, it's my second season - and the first full season of my elder bitch (2.5 years old). Both my Russells are from working lines.

I am mostly interested in Russells and Fells, their work, relation and breeding. I will surely have many questions on how they do what they do and why is one (dog, type of work, etc) better than the other.

We go hunting with a little group of 4 people with different types of dogs (Patterdales, PJRTs and German Hunt Terriers).

ome more words and pics of me and my dogs at www.parson-russell.mlap.hu (bilingual)

I also rescue Russells, Fox Terriers and alikes, sometimes I'm a temporary adopter, but I mostly only finance and advertise them. This is the website I made for them and advertise in 4 countries: www.russellrescue.mlap.hu

I came to learn, registered just today - and I already enjoy the forum!

Thank you! I have even 2 Russells, both are for work out of working lines:

She is Silver, 2.5 years old, 12", mostly bay to bolt, but sometimes she is harder and keeps the fox on the spot until dug to:

And he is Louie, 8 months old, just over 12", both his parents are mixers. He is very promising, goes with strong voice and grabbed the muzzle of the second live fox he met, but I will work him only from the next season:

Here he is barking at a dead badger (worked by Silver), he was about 6.5-7 months old on the pic.

Here he was tied up to the tree after he pulled his lead off my hands and ran into a badger set after my bitch. I could hear both dogs barking. lol After some minutes he appeared and was ready to go back.

The little wound you see on his back leg is from the badger he met

Nothing serious - and so he thinks too.
