zap 4
well as with most places we have had a fare drop of snow so decided to have a look out with the terriers picked scotsman up and away we went ,first place there was footings going in so dropped my b+t bitch in and with in no time she was baying good guns so gets a mark and drop in on her at about 2 1/2 ft lifted terrer and shot the fox and let the dogs have a bit rag ,i let my old black bitch of the teather to join in she is almost 11 years old so keeps her happy ,ofcoarse she has a rag then dives in another hole no collar on and its a place that covers a big bank ,anyway scotsmans ear to ground finds her after a while of us both listening to the ground we set away digging and land on her at about 3 ft fox shot got the bitch on her couples and gave the b+t another search thinking 2 vixens so there is every chance the dog could be in here as well but no backfilled and away we went tried 2 more places that fox footings went to but nothing in ,heres a couple pics of today the big dog is scotsmans zena Quote Link to post

lurchers 2,912
Bog Road Lamper said: How many vixens do you think abort their pregancy when dug and released??If you are going to take the way of releasing pregnant vixens then you may as well start releasing them all. And if you are not comfortable with killing a vixen in autumn or winter then you would be best stoping hunting altogether. As I see it if you hunt from september to february and leave foxes alone the rest of the year then you shiuld kill all you hunt if you can. i dont mind letting dog or vixen go unless the farmer is there as the way i look at it there isnt a lot of stuff around the doors so will be killing ya own sport off,,,,,,, sorry but thats me Quote Link to post
