Also what round would be the best all rounder. I have a 2506 rugar m77 VT whitch i like shooting with and have no trouble with but would like a 308 aswell mybe? Quote Link to post

I might do a little long range target shooting up 600 m but it will be mostly red deer the heavy barrel is good for shooting 10 to 15 deer in a few minutes as some times demand on what i am doing . Plenty of target ammo for 600yards/m for the .308, a relatively easy distance for the calibre. 10-15 Deer in a few minutes????? F*** me, you either work in a slaughter house or have an incredible sound moderator!!! Fair do's if that is the case, you certainly don't have to worry about the weight and carrying the tool around for hours then like the rest of us mere mortals!!! Quote Link to post
