allgame 0 Posted February 6, 2009 Report Share Posted February 6, 2009 i'll give my borzoi x staghound pup a shot when he's old enough should grow around 32 inches and hell have a heap of experience on roos and emus, at 7 months he's catching 3/4 grown on his own at 28 inches so as a two year old im guessing hell have as good of a chance as any. and my uncle just boughrt a pup whos mum took down a 3/4 samber stag on it's own not a bad body on it a dog would proberly pull it u at the back leg and the work towards the head bloody hell wouldnt be easy think i'll bring a nice long knife with me and a couple tough dogs just in case Quote Link to post

Red stags are awesome creatures with that much body mass and weight moving with such speed and power!!!! I know its been done but i bet the dogs get one hell of a rough time Quote Link to post

ferret boy charlie 0 Posted February 6, 2009 Author Report Share Posted February 6, 2009 never known anyone whos dogs have took them, i know a few stalkers whos labs would pull down a wounded stag and iv seen this happen but never a lurcher and to be honest i wouldnt like to see a dog take them i worked with them and theyre huge i wouldnt imagine a dog could do the deed quickly as even with a bullet through the engine room they can still go some. cant bielive labs pull reds even if they have been shot my mates staffy\lab and pure lab struggled on a wounded roe doe . . .
