Help a beginner please!

Hi me and a mate have recently started ferreting, we have just got all are kit up together ready for next season as we found are self running out of nets which I don’t mind to much because it gives my whippet and my mates lurcher some runs. We are quite happy with the ff2 receiver now we are finally used to it lol. Anyway what I want to ask is there anyone that would be willing to take me and my mate out ferreting just to pick up a few tips and get a better idea of the sport, also some experience of lamping would be so much appreciated and now im starting to sound like a [bANNED TEXT] cheeky bugger but the land we have promition on at the moment is very limited any one willing to let us ferret on there land would be the biggest legend ever. The only thing is, is that I live in a place called Lacock in Wiltshire don’t thing I stand much chance of finding any ferreters in the area but it’s worth a try lol. Anyway it’s an endless wait to the beginning of the season cant wait!!! Don’t bully me to much please I am only 16 lol.

Wait untill September time, I'll come over if you got some ground. Is that the Lacock where the chicken farm is?

 

Or if you can get a lift come over here, about 1/2hr from Frome

ok thanks mate there is a chicken egg farm but its mostly a stupid toristy place so not sure if it is what you are thinking of. i mite me able to get a lift because my mate should be driving by then.

have you been ratting

no i was thinking about it but not with the ferrets i have at the moment as i dont want them killing underground to often when rabbiting (if thats true) but i mite breed and keep some purly for ratting.

ratting wont make your ferrets kill rabbits faster,or more often,your ferret wants to kill every rabbit it comes across anyway,

same with me but i use a big jill so she slow so the bolt but if the rat tries to bite her so kills them in seconds not like a small ferret would

Nice one rob, ferrets are very good at bolting rats, once they get bittern to much they giv up , then it,s time 4 the bunnies
