We can all recall before the ban.I will try to keep this topic short.It may be hard.I worked my dogs (Terriers & Lurchers) with a team of good lads who knew the score.Dogs were well trained,fed ,fit and so on.There were about four to nine of us out at any one time on a sunday daytime.Your dogs had to be solid or the lads would give you a power of abuse that could go on all day.You had to be hard skined to take it but that was our way as we did not whant any hassle.The police would pull us up a few times ask what we were doing but never gave us any grief and let us be on our way.You had the odd nut yobs who would see you and take a fit.THEN CAME THE BAN.Every antie who never had the balls to say something before were screaming blue murder.they would see you entering groud where the farmer had a rabbit problem and phone the police saying we were brakeing the law.Best of all the police seemed to have nothing better to do but respouned to the call. ANTIES say we are brakeing the law.These are the same people who released all the mink witch main diet is fish yet they whant to ban line fishing.I think i would rather catch a fish and release it than have a mink eat four or five in a day plus letter bombs attcking people who have anything to do with animal research.I could go on but i will tell you a few personal stories A few friend were out lamping rabbits one night after the ban they had left the car the same place for years.This night an old hag came out gave them what for.When they returned to the car it was all scrached phone police nothing done.She got away with it Another nigth beleave it or not the car was set on fire and blewup same again nothing done.I have kept the best for last.Sunday afternoon about three year ago.Getting out of the cars in public carpark next to a farm we had permission to hunt rabbits on. An old lady ran out of her house telling us we can not shoot the deer. I assured her we were only hunting rabbits as we had no guns.May as well have talked to a brick wall when half an hour later we had a heilcopter bussing around us.We where in a small wood it was about november so they could see us easy.As we had done nothing wrong we sat on our ass and waited for the troops to move in.As they thout they were on to somethig good.True to form 15 mins later the came in all around us.They were about ten of them.I was in heaven we had permission to be on the land we hadent even goy a rabbit yet.Just for one old biddy makeing a phone call.Result ten police for one hour one chopper that hovered 100 feet above us for about 35 mins.How much of tax payers money did that hour cost and why wasent that old biddy done with waisting police time. I have many stories but i will stop at that.ANTIES Shout and bawl but who are the true criminals.

It's about time they grew up, they cause more flaming problems then any hunter with their actions. I dont think half these antis have been anywhere near a chicken pen thats had a fox in it, or a crop thats been ruined. Perhaps if they did they'd stop been such prats & get a life.

I currently dont hunt (will get round to it) - but hunting is something we've done for centuries, for food, vermin control & a host of other reasons. How they think they've now got a god given right to decide what every else in the country ought to be allowed to do is beyond me.

Good on you mate there problem is they dont have a life of there own. I was whatching a program on the telly one night. When along came the antis and started spashing the water to scare the fish away,If that was me and my mates they would have ended up as bait. I know what i would do with them but if i said on this site i would get banned.ATB
