redeye jedi 39
ive just been out to feed the ferrets, hob was waiting for me but no sign of my black eyed white jill. opened the nest box and there she was motionless. thought she was sleeping, picked her up and she was dead am absolutely gutted. she was a great worker and my 2 year old son loved her to bits. dont know how im gonna tell him "mouse" (he cant say ferret) isnt here any more. was hoping to breed from her this year. The one 8,480
Its a bad time to be looking for ferret at this time of year you will only get folk's rubbish there looking to pass on ,even trying your local rescue there's no guarantee they will work .You would be better holding off and picking up a you jill in the summer mate Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
There's never a good time to lose one, but at least you can get a couple of kits soon to replace her. Quote Link to post
redeye jedi 39
yeah i didnt think anyone would be getting rid of a good worker this time of year. was hoping to be raising some of me own kits this year. guess that'll have to wait for now. if anyones breeding from good stock let me know please. im in the leicester area and bristol too. victor 10
sounds like she chocked on some think :S i saved my hob's life, he ate some bedding and it gave im a bowl obstruction so i gave him heaps of full cream milk, a ferret is never to sick or ill to drink milk, and he spewed it up. i watch hid do so and it was about the size of a marball Quote Link to post
