undisputed 1,664
It would appear that the guys who challenged the hunting legislation in court have won. The emphasis is now the police or whoever has prove your intent when hunting not the other way round....well done the English sadly it may have no bearing in Scotland
thurso jack 3
It's an outlook based on living in the countryside half my life, rather than just using it for recreation. im sorry but i too have lived all my life in the coutryside, i have never been or followed a mounted or foot pack or never witnessed an organised coursing event (the nearest to me would be several hundered miles away) but im not naive enough to think once one pastime is banned then another will follow, i have my own interests in my country persuits and yet i would freely support the abbolition of the hunting ban, despite it not having any great effect on my interests, purely due to the fact that one big voice will always be heard over lots of small split groups/voices, and i can only imagine how it would feel to have soemthing that you participated in for generations taken away from you by people who really are driven by class and ill informed opinions and views. i still cannot beleive fieldsports enthusiasts are coming out with these kind of statements when will we learn? i fear when its too late!! chimp 299
droid does not hunt so maybe thats why he made the statement he did , not a big deal as that is what we have been up against that kind of talk all along . the march in london had all from different forms of field sport droid , fisherman ,coursers, fox hunters , shooters and even the naughty boys joined in and they all stood side by side. let hope this is a turning point
trader 0
It's an outlook based on living in the countryside half my life, rather than just using it for recreation. ive lived in the countryside all my life, i would hope that YOUR attitude is not an attitude shared by the rest of the site, the IM ALRIGHT JACK is a quality that stinks, not just about fieldsports but as an attitude in anything in life, all the best to your chosen pastime
droid 11
It's not so much 'I'm alright Jack' as resigned reality. People can go on about 'f**k the ban', and getting the ban repealed all they like, and it won't make a gnats' bollock worth of difference. Hunting, as prcatised by people on here has bugger all economic significance. And that's why it was chosen to be banned. it was seen as a low cost (to the economy) politically popular (with the chattering classes/townies) gesture to prove the Labout Party meant business. Fishing was mentioned, so consider this. I can name 4 tackle shops within a 5 mile radius of my house. I cannot name a single gunshop. And those of you that think Daystates are bloody expensive, check out the price of a top-class fishing pole. For the record, I didn't support the ban. Not because I follow hounds or have any interest at all in doing so, but because I cannot stand cock-arsed political gestures by politicians seeking the townie vote. TOMO 27,206
fishermen are the biggest hypocrite's , dragging a fish out the water by its lip the putting it in a keepnet , then suffocate a short while , whilst you weigh it. then back in the river. sounds like BAITING to me

will.f11 24
I do, really want the ban to be lifted but perhaps it is easier with it? I mean how many people can honestly say they have stopped their sport since the ban? My uncle was saying that he stopped foxhunting before the ban because of the amount of grief from antis, and it took all fun out of it. Now he is back in the saddle and hunting with the rest of us. He says its as good as it ever was. So perhaps seeing the antis have layed off a little bit now the ban is in place its easier for us. Its always good fun to retrieve shot foxes
Leeview 791
I CAN will.f11 I was coursing 3 sometimes 4 days a week throughout he season under rules it was a way of life for me taken away from me and others by ignorant bigots who had never experienced it just been told lies about what happened Tomo what about the maggots thrown into the water to attract the fish, there isnt any other legal sport in this country that allows one animal to be tethered(hooked) to catch another there all banned bar fishing Y.I.S Leeview
