Well lads im really thinking of getting myself a little terrier it would open a whole new field of hunting for me, i have kept lurchers all my life but have never had the pleasure of owning a terrier. idealy i would like a terrier that is good above ground bushing rabbits to my lurchers and a terrier that will if needed go to ground to flush fox to the guns im just wanting some views on the different breeds that you guys use any info would be great

Regards Micky

p.s please dont try selling me any dogs yet as i really am undecided on this ;)

you have to live with it, feed it and work it.

saying that i like white dogs and just bought a red en

i really not bothered what any dog looks like no show stuff in my kennels

just true working dogs i have lots of work for my dogs i quite fancy a tecle cross something nice and tight

but then i like the way a mate patterdale works and i would always buy from working lines ;)

patterdale [bANNED TEXT] trust is yall not get a better terrier

Any breed as long as parents are solid above and below ground, my pall has a terrier which will flush, rabbits, hares, foxes, deer and he gives a different bark on each quarry! Seen people wreck terriers too never take them out on rabbits untill they do some foxes etc coz if it marks a bunny and starts baying youll be well pissed off mate!

Everyones different, start cage trapping mink, rats etc at about 6-8 months 8-12 months introduce to a dead rag 12-18 months is when id be hoping to enter, depending on the dog realy whenever hes ready,he will go! Others may do it different just my advice! No rabbits untill working the fox is the only issue!

Good luck mate!

any half tidy breed will bush for you..but if you thinking of getting into the digging world i wouldnt bother, every year just seems harder and harder, with the police getting clued up all the time, wildlife officers snopping around, the rspca on the prowl and worse of all GRASSING b*****ds LIVING NEAR YOU you got to have eyes up you arse and say f**k all to anybody trust me i know from experiance, the only problem is when you get the BUZZ of entering an earth dog and hearing him/her work and then break thro to the little warrior YOU JUST CAN NOT STOP :D
