For me personally i've owned both and don't think i could pick one over the other i liked them both equally the only reason i don't still own them is they are too heavy.

Never owned a TX200, but I have owned a HW97k, so the 97 is the one I would go for, I could'nt knock it on anything, build quality was good, and it shot well, whacked rabbits easily, it was just what I was looking for at the time.

the reason there is no definite answers is its alot to do with taste people will like the tx and others will like the 97

and both are great air rifles

i love my tx cant really fault it in any way (apart from its weight) about ten pounds when scoped up thats the same as carrying a gallon of water about when your hunting

it may not sound much but its soon feels heavy

both rifles are more accurate than most hunters (definatley better than me)

if youre thinking of getting either all i can say is go try both and then decide what suits you best

i have shot the tx200 before and killed pigeons with it before.but if the hw97k is around the same power i think i would get the hw97k. i think it looks better.

It's about personal preference with these rifles. It's Land Rover Defender Vs Mercedes G Wagon.

 

Both are top of the line out of the box and it all comes down to which one you personally prefer.

I`ve owned both but only kept one the tx

the loading port seems bigger

and it feels a lot smoother out of the box

Must be the TX200 Had the mark two now have the Pro Sport.Witch is the best spring 12/fb gun on the market i think.

both good guns......... but have to say the tx200 probably has the edge for me.

 

each to their own, but, you won't go far wrong with either.
