theres a ferret locator mark 1 8ft deben on ebay and two collares both seperate all £0.99 with £5.00 p&p bidding not even started is it worth a go for a first locator

U can buy a new one with 2 collars from decoying.co.uk for about 160, not cheap but u get a warrenty!

Get the new one make sure they have the sensitivity bit on them , there good bits of kit much better than the old style worth the cash for the ferrets !

I got an old one, Im waiting till it breaks then i will go the newby. Its a rather hard decision to make however. I could almost get my money back on it.

If any of you blokes had a Mk1 would you sell it for a new mk3?

The old ones are good without a doubt if you can get a good one, but why pay , 90, 100 quid or so (thats what they're going for on ebay just for the box) for something that doesn't have a warrenty and you cant get parts for any more so if it breaks your stuffed so the you need another one at , 90, 100 quid

 

So 160 quid doesn't sound so dear after all

Don't know where you get your prices from but I had a mark one finder listed on EBay at £35 and it didn't get a single bid. One went for £28-50 the week before. Anyone offers me £100, I would definitely sell them an 8' collar and finder.

 

Currently have for sale 1 x 8' collar and 2 x 8' finders. Also 20 as new hemp purse nets with pegs.

i wouldnt sell a mark one for a mk 3 what a load of s**t i used it once and it looked good but after that i sent it back twice and stiil wasnt no good they sent me abrand new one then didnt bother using it sold it on to someone who wanted mark 3 for £100

What was the problem with it Poacher? My early one had a switch problem, soon sorted.

It's a cracking piece of kit once you get used to it.

End of the day if ye wanna day daft money for the old stuff then fair enuff,its your dosh not mine,plenty old bits of kit still knocking about at decent prices

 

One day i might fork out 160 of the finest sovs ive got,but it wont be in the near future i feckin know i just aint got that type of money

 

Dont get me wrong im not knocking the new gear,never used it anyway myself, all im saying is ,i'll stick with the older stuff for now

Heres where i get my prices from, dont get me wrong if I could get a mk1 at a cheap price I would but I'm not spending nearly 100 quid on a second hand one when I can get a new one with ! collar for 120 quid
