adam1 2
I've had a few snares pulled to the size of a 10p piece > ( from what i can gather on the forums i presume that I'm setting them on the wrong part of the beat). but now this has happened when i try to tension them they want to spring back to a closed position instead of springing back open. I presume that I'm just doing something wrong ( apart from placement ) as snares obviously are pulled tight when a rabbit is caught so any pointers will be appreciated. Thanks Adam Quote Link to post

Thanks Adam read the pinned section at the top of the page, and it tells you what causes the small loop, and once again, set your snare loop directly over the middle of the beat, at the proper height . absolutely never in between the beats , it also shows how to tension a rabbit snare properly, so if you read it carefully and follow the instructions ,and practice with a small amateur sized loop first until you get the feel of it. adam1 2
Thanks for your replys I think the problem is i am not reading the beats properly and maybe placing the wires in the wrong place (i'll be altering them in the morning), i've read the pinned section avidly but think i've just misunderstood , . I'll have a go at retensioning in the morning, the clip is just what i ( and i get the feeling others) needed cheers Ian cheers Adam Quote Link to post

snareman 3
Very informative. nice and clear , but you have shown how a left handed person tensions a loop clockwise, where a right handed person tensions anti clockwise. Quote Link to post
