ferreter08 0
Hi guy's, Just become a member and been looking about on the forum, seems the place to help and get helped.!!! Im out tomorrow ferreting a new permission we were given this week in Kent so will be up early and feed the boys before i go, really looking forward to this as we went over on Thurs for a recce of the place and it's like a pepper pot so all goes well it should be a productive day!! We are going to give a young lad we know his first outing tomorrow and apparently he can't wait! "GOD I HOPE HE CAN BE QUIET"!. If anyone interested i will try and work out how to post pictures and take the camera tomorrow? If a picture appeared i think i've cracked that one! If anyone on here lives nr Tunbridge Wells get in touch as i quite often need another guy with ferrets as i think my latest ferreting partner was bought up in Australia as he kind of goes walkabout a bit to often and i don't see him from one week to the next. Better finish packing the gear and get some shut eye, picking up walkabout at 06:15. Chris. Quote Link to post

Well guy's quite a good day really! it snowed to a total white out all afternoon and it was bloody freezing! just as well the lad stayed at home i think if we had'nt of done quite so well it would of put him off! Still we cracked on between Paul and myself and things started well in the first few minutes with two in the bag already then off to a big warren after about an hour, it was massive! took the best part of hour and half to net and clear us out all be our spares. Conan was slipped past the net and within five mins all hell broke lose and rabbit's bolting hard everywhere! Like i said the warren was massive and run half way along this steep bank that was slipppery as hell with a deep frozen lake at the bottom! Are you getting the picture! Gingerly trying to get to these rabbit's along this bank was hard work but we had eleven so we decided to give up extreme ferreting as it was getting a little to risky now! We moved to another warren not far away and done another five before dusk, it was now time for myself and Paul not forgetting Conan to go and wash up, change and to the pub to sort out the mission for Saturday, i can't wait!.
