used it at last

Recommended Posts

I have a program that checks out all the collection only stuff on e bay, within a 10 mile radius to where I live, last year I won this petrol leaf blower for a tenner (£10) and its been stuck in the garage ever since, so thought Id turn it into a rat smoker, luckerly the exhaust was a two part affair, so I was able to take it apart, and with a bit of modification with a dremmel, fitted a 15mm compression tank conector to it, it did'nt come with a fuel cap, so for the minute have used a latex glove to give it an airtight seal :D , but could'ent get a spark on the plug, pinched a sparkplug from one of the mini-motos in the garage, which was the same size, and hay-presto, it works, so now we have the dogs, a rat attack smoker and petrol smoker, just gotta find some rats :clapper:

how well does the rat attack smoker do its job..is it right you smoke then wait then the rats bolt

havent used it as yet myself, but on the rallyscene dvd's, testing the smoker, thats what they discovered, it took a few minutes after smoking, for the rats to bolt

Been trying to get a cheep leaf blower, lucky sod.The petrol cap needs to be able to breath or it will cut out.Take some of the fins off the blower side direct the exhaust to the blower hey presto, gets them rats moving real quick.Good luck with it.P1

had thought that, that'll be why it kept cutting out :hmm: , the glove was a short fix, just to see if it would start, will get a proper cap asap, I like the fan idea, had wondered if it could be used in some way, but thought it may weaken the gasses, I'll try a hose running from the fan outlet, strapped to the side of copper tube, cheers para
