sounder 9
well i went out last nite for a shine to test out my new filter for my lightforce lamp, that i got while over at wags, i work a dream it was the amber colour i got and have to say it way better than the red filter you get way more distance and at 300 yrds you can see a fox as clear as day i find with the red it hard to make out the body sharpe you just see eyes but with the amber you have a clear view, anyways out we went for a quick whip around danny was on the lamp he was slow to spot hares on the lamp as not use to the amber filter but after afew mins he was fine, up a old road we went and way up on a hill he spotted eyes so i turn the jeep sideways and jump out ,got ready light on, i was waiting for foxy to run like F**k as the do here but no it sat down and just looked about i put it on its head a pulled the trigger boom!!!tu hit !!!!! F**k i said he never notice the lamp on it danny said there another one .i jump up again to look and yes there was another one out to it left, as i pushed another .243 100g fed up, it just sat there looking about again stuck it on it head booommm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!TU!!!!!!ANOTHER HIT danny ask will i go up and get them i said no i get them in the morning when i walk the dogs, so out for 20 mins two in the bag, so first thing this morning i loaded up the dog two terriers and 2 lurcher off i went, i had the terrier on a leads as there was a badger sett where i was going to walk a deep place all stone did not want to end up there for the day as i reached to where i had shot the first fox lady and rose my lurcher had found it as i looked it was a text book head shot i also range it from where i pull the trigger 164 yrds so the terrier was pulling to get to it so i let them in for the whip, i left them there and walk up to where the other fox should have drop but no sign so looked around to see lady again stopped up the hill abit more it was the second fox i miss placed the line of where i dropped it, it layed prefect on the ground where it fell again i range it this time 210yards not a head shot just low neck/ chest shot it will do me as all shot was up hill and both kills, so i am happy here afew photos cheers sounder [note head shot] the two side by side where it lay for the nite you ca see in this photo the road from where i shot from ,...up hill cheers sounder Quote Link to post
