It doesn't give the best of impressions to a new member when people advocate violence because they disagree with someones ideas, Dare, you did know the lad offering the dog for stud is now a member here? What would be good is if someone who lived local to the lad who hasn't seen his dog do what it was born for could take him out and show him, you never know he just might see the point of his dog ............. Speaking as someone who has been extremely lucky starting out hunting, by lucky I mean the lads they've met and places they've been taken, I can only say from experience once you see the point of your dog then you don't look back, it's addictive! BUT no all you gets the big i am . i work with terrier men of 35 years still wont let me come along . so ill just battle on . on me own feck em . it is the hardest game in the world to crack . propa terrier lads shouldv take pride in showing other lads the score. you can only do so much on ya own.. i just dont no why it should be like that . we aint all divs just like minded men with terriers wanting a nic e day out with good lads an good dogs ....... liamdelaney 2,587
Many terrier men brought out green horns myself included and ended up in trouble from loose mouths.Choose your company VERY carefully when your at this game.I would never bring a stranger with me digging look what happened to those that did Quote Link to post
Strong Stuff 2,171
Many terrier men brought out green horns myself included and ended up in trouble from loose mouths.Choose your company VERY carefully when your at this game.I would never bring a stranger with me digging look what happened to those that did I can see that point very clearly, only the other day I went into a local hardware shop near me to be told my dog was a "beast" and had chased and killed some sheep .............. (he hadn't killed any!) The lad who was doing the gossiping is worse than f*****g Norris off Corrie, but I know where he got his info, so that's someone who won't be getting told anything again. It was Lurcher lads I was talking about. Quote Link to post
wilko 1
well i think them comments are a bit harsh . i for one an i bet many other boys on here would love a day out with genuine permission holders. who no what thier doing . im sick of going out on me own all the time my mates aint into country sports an think im mad. an i bet thiers a few boys who would be glad of an exta pair of hands on a day out. the newcomers thier to learn have a laugh with the boys an join in . think how many dogs get lost given away sold after 10 mins cos they dont really no what thier doing .but thats a whole new topic......
