byron 1,169
i sighted the first return of swallows on the 13th of april up here on Loch Lomondside, the swallows are on one gable and im waiting on the house martin returning again this year, any reports from south west although i admire the beauty of our native birds and know some of the different breeds, today where i kennel the pups i left the bottom door open leading into a paddock. around 7-30 tonight i went down to feed and bed the greyhound pups down for the night and 2 of what i think were house martins were in there. one flew out no probs, the other seemed to panick and was just banging rather gently i may add off the inside of the window, so i caught hold of it and released it outside anyway it was small with a white chest with a touch of red at the top. house martin yes or no. swallows. think your sen lucky .help em out mate leave part door open
