Stabs 3
You sad person Stabs The Working Terrier & Running Dog (coloured magazine) finished because of financial dilficulties and the people involved ran away with many subscription fees,I know because I was one and had only just paid it when it went pooooo!!!! I can't be that sad if you've got a pic of me as your avatar That is Richard Stilgoe isn't it?
Bosun11 537
That would make more sense Selwyn, I too had a subscription. Though the tale I got was off GJ when talking about it on his stall at a show a few years after. I was connected with the old Wigan dog club back then and Glyn asked me if I knew anythin about anti's at the office for the mag?
J Darcy 5,871
The running dog journals are still a good read all these years later, i have them all, but i had to get the green one re-bound as the contant thumbing damaged the spine a little!! theworking terrier and lurcher mag just started as the working terier, then diversified into lurchers. From what i can gather it flopped due to the expence of colour publications and , probably, poor business managemant. I have them all here and i love to read them. Eddie chapmans articles always my faves....a good mag, shame it went under, leaving a few out of pocket i believe too!
Stabs 3
Without digging all of mine out, didn't The Working Terrier first copy have a drawing on the front?

sheamus 0
Here`s one for you lot if you can remember called the Keeper`s nightmare by JBird if i recall correctly? A little green book. Hope you haven't thumbed that to death JD Back to sale`s now. As an avid collector of Running dog memorabilia over the last 20 years it will be a sad day when the last of my books go. My sights failing and my heart is`nt in it anymore so they need a new home. The 1988 Journal is available at £30 a solid investment at that and can only increase in value.. Pretender`s and tyre kickers need not apply this is for the genuine article "Dog man".. Strong Stuff 2,171
The 1988 Volume 1 Book now sold... How pissed off am I? You didn't reply to my PM which I sent earlier yesterday saying I'd buy it (after having recently read Bosuns copy), but not just that ............. 2 moderators have posted on a thread that breaks site rules, as in a for sale post with no price, no location and one which is apparently an auction, neither of whom suggested you might change your ad to conform with site rules, it's looking rather like one rule for one and another for everyone else. sheamus 0
Hi Aaron as you can imagine the book generated a considerable amount of interest and i replied to all those that enquired through the private message service. If i mist you out i can only apologize and say that it was a genuine mistake and i`m sorry will you except that? Regarding the rules which i am not familiar with and admittedly i should take the time to read them. This was an interesting sale of quite a sought after book which will bring back memories from years gone by. My location like the majority of other on the site is vague but as you can see i`m about one hour from JD. Here you go Aaron i`ll say it again i`m sorry if i over looked you..
