I hope she turns out to be top notch Quote Link to post
1#Hunter 0
the most iv payed for a ferret is £30 but i bought one for £20 and she is the best worker you ever see she will drag the rabbit out f****n brill Quote Link to post

stealthy1 3,964
£20 is a bit expensive, but if you get £20 worth of enjoyment out of her does it matter. Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
I dont think you can put a price on any working animals head, if they do there job to your satisfaction Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
How about a pic of your new ferret Adsi? Quote Link to post
ace32 4
hiya bud, seems a bit pricey for a fert, most genuine ferreters give them away to people they know, unless they breed them for money, but most go for about a tenner, going by what ive read on here, get mine for free, but i know a few long time old school ferreters, who been doing it 20 odd years, and do it for the sport and enjoyment, not profit, and only breed to keep their lines going, allready got my order in for 2 of this years kits, the 2 i have now are from a different line, but are shaping up ok,but still young and playfull, well thats my take on things,ok,ian Quote Link to post
The one 8,529
Payed a £5 for my silvers had to travel a bit to get them but if your happy money doesn't come into it Quote Link to post
John-B 4
Small price to pay mate, personally I have never spent more than a couple of quid on a ferret and only ever had 1 bad worker which funnily enough was one of the youngsters of 2 good workers, but I suppose 20 quid is nowt really, half a dozen pints less or something at the pub Quote Link to post
redeye jedi 39
i swapped a nice poley gill for a silver gill this year and she tuned out to be a cracking little worker, the guy didnt want her as she had a tooth missing. a saw a large sandy hob sold at auction in my town over xmas for £40. col g 0
20 quid is a small price to pay.in my eyes it will give you more incentive to look after it properly.im breeding mine again this year.i will be giving some of the young to people i know will look after them and work them.the rest will be sold on so i know that they will go to decent homes...saying that nothing is guaranteed. gnipper 6,592
anyone got a good silver hob to put across my jill? im in leicestershire. Breeding silver to silver is apparently a big no no and can cause all kinds of problems like deformed kits. Quote Link to post
