I had a dog running doubled up in a comp a few years ago he led up took the first 4 turns and was away with it when the other dog got a go bye and put some work in,my fella lost his action and I could see something was very wrong ,they lost the hare into cover after about 2 mins. When they came back my dog was carrying his front right leg,it was up like a foot ball he had failed to bank the dyke ,and broken it, I had to carry him half a mile off the field to the nearest vets in Lincs.I sometimes wonder if all the blokes that talk so disparagingly about dogs jacking ever think to wonder if there is something wrong with the dog besides not fancying the job.Just a thought.
