Guest BORDERFOX
Take a peek on classifieds mate. Its all a vicous circle, Too many pups and too few owners , are you really ready for a dog of your own ? or will u be as happy getting up at 5:00 am to walk it when the novelty wears off? iT SOUNDS to me as though youve seen your mates dogs working and fancy a piece of the action. Fairplay mate but remember the old cumbrian saying "Just cos u get free milk, doesnt mean you have to buy a cow" Quote Link to post

Stabs 3
Sound advice there. You have to remember that just because you have the time and inclination to keep a dog now, your world is going to change very drastically when you finish college. Say you're studying for what...3 years? Then you leave and join the rank and file and get yourself a job....what happens to the mutt? If you are college educated and in the South East, chances are you could be working up town, which means travelling, and that takes time. I'm not trying to dissuade you, but you should have your eyes open as to what your priorities are and if you really want a dog right now. The last thing you want to be doing is taking a mutt on and have to get shot in 3 years when you can't devote any time or energy to it. But should you reckon that you can do right by the dog, then best of luck to you. Quote Link to post

Guest BORDERFOX
My cousin did that same course at Cupar and was never home. Gaps in timetable, I dont think so mate. But the initial period of settling in in most iinstances affects the bond forever , Its a big hurdle to overcome, All the best Quote Link to post
