Brimmer 220
Had to replace the leather on a mk1 collar, got a new leather ferret collar of fleabay for £2. This the old one before tampering with. Cut out the fused middle bit with a jnr hacksaw blade. The leather then slides out then. Slid in the new collar, cut a piece of hard plastic and fused it back in with a hot knife. (don't do this at home kids, but i suspect you'll know more about hotknife's than most adults!) Bit of a mess, so dressed it up with some sandpaper. Collar as good as new and ready to go! Edited January 27, 2009 by Brimmer Quote Link to post

ANTHONYCHEZ 27
Hot knives. You have been warned kiddie's. well done brimmer, replaced the collar on my mk3 the other day, with a nylon cat collar, far better than the original, it holds the two halfs of the transmiter tighter as i find it can work a little loose after 2 years or so's worth of use!!!! and also you can make it as tight as you like, with there being no holes in it, you just poke the buckle pin any where through the strap, i'll get a pic up for all you mk3 users Quote Link to post
