snare supplies?

just wondered if anyone could help?

 

i am really intrested in snareing and building my own but, i am only learning and dont want to spend quid for wire and eyelets etc, so does anyone know of anywere i can get smaller amounts cheaper so i can try make some?

 

also how are the tealers made?? out of what??

if you get one of those 500 gram coils of the wire (about 100 snaers for £15 of wire) make sure you put something through the hole in the middle so its kinda on a spool otherwise you end up with a brdsnest which takes hours to untangle
