fireman 10,917
I knew a old traveller fellow(Ben Pepper)in Market Harbrough who had one on a chain for nigh on 11 years(thats what he said, but it was a very old fox indeed),the vet came out and trimmed it's nails and coat(it got really thick around it's neck)a couple of times a year.It was dug as a cub and reared by his misses, they let it go when it was older but just hung around the site driving the dogs mad so they put it back on a chain. It looked happy enough but only he could go near it,it arched it's back and hissed and spat like a cat at anyone else who tried to go near. Can be done but i wouldn't ever try to tame one, wild animals live in the wild, hence the title wild. Paid 935
Since when were bears pack animals ? all animals show leader ship I would call it more "survival of the fittest" than leadership in most cases. I.e dominance of the weak, not actual leadership. True pack animals are actually quite rare in the big scheme of things. Bears, and foxes for that matter, are solitary animals when not raising young or breifly mating. As are most cats, mice ect. Edited January 26, 2009 by Paid

Halfinch 51
not easy, but it can be done. there is a fox domestication program interestingly enough click Mmmm, interesting, seems it can be done over generations, but also a lot depends on the individual fox by the sounds of it . just jack 998
all animals can be maned to anything as long as they are a pack sort. rats mice cats dog big cats bears the lists goes on if your dog attacks a fox and you cant get that dog to back off then your not the pack leader so your know the next DOG WHISPERER
Malt 379
all animals can be maned to anything as long as they are a pack sort. Bollocks. The African Wild Dog is a pack animal and they are imposable to tame, even if they're hand reared.
Paid 935
Yeah, rats are pack (comunial) animals, not disputing that. Bears are not, they may group in rich feeding grounds, but thats a short period of time, and dominated by the strongest. It's far from the same thing.
