It aint cruel, if its done at birth. If you want to breed your ferrets, for the line quality then you will only want a couple. So knock the rest on the head. I dont expect any of yous would find killing a rabbit cruel, so why not killing a ferret.

I didn't say it was cruel. It's just unneccessary. :wallbash:

 

Someone did a count of the ferrets on offer on this site last season. It came to around 400, the majority of which were bred from 'a good line'. So if the fella needs to expand the team there's plenty of opportunity there.

 

And it suggests that the ferretting world needs more breeding like it needs a hole in the head.

I wouldnt pop them over the head,

im just worreid that my ferret cage will be crouded for to long

 

You dont have to breed them , if your worried about the jills being in season, there are other options you can go with, when they are needing bringing out of season

Nice to see someone considering the consequences before they breed :clapper:

Do you go ferreting Droid? Because if you do, then you would realise if you have a very good line, that you should keep it going. If it means keeping a few, and killing the ones which arent to your satisfaction, then so be it. Thats how the extraordinary ferrets are bred.
