Hi tim

thats a pisser mate, please let me no how you are lamping your foxs,

because most of the people ive had come out with me lamp in very different ways, by this i mean there technique its not good, now i don't wont you to think im takeing the piss here because im not im just giving some advice, you may not need it but i no there are some new comers on the site just getting in to the game so this is for.

Try this, when you get in the field and your happy with your position with wind and such like have a quick flick round with the lamp don't stop even if you get eyes first time round, if you did'unt get eyes first time round have a squeek then flick around once more, when you get eyes remember where they are when then flick past don't stop, then kill the lamp give it about 1 minute or so, then slowly put your lamp on keeping the beem of the lamp low in the the place you saw the eyes, remember you don't need to put the full beem on the fox if his there you will see the eyes, on going this start squeeking

as he starts to move in on your position you must keep the beem low so you can just see his eyes, and when you think his close enough give him full beem, do not piss about at this point slip dog as soon as the beem hits the fox.

The same thing works on rabbits to i never put the full beem on them untill im sat on top of them, but remember position is the key, ive rabbits set that hard ive picked them up with my hands.

hope this help some of you new lads in the game. ;) :thumbs-up:

ps / i like to have a red filter on the lamp cuts down glare, remember red for call white for running.

Havent read all the topic lads,i took a few lads out with us one night and he insisted on using his phone with a sqeeker recording,to foxes were about 120yds away sitting there and the phone was an apsalute disaster! Not lamp shy at all,but the squeeker was SHIT! I told him to turn it off by this time both foxes were out of sight,i started sqeeking for a minute or so and flicked the lamp on both comming in from around 300yds now, lamp off carried on and another flicker and off the (gunDOG) went from around 30yds!

Best squueker is the one that annoyes you most the dogs toys/squueky ones take it out and give it a go!

You lads must have some decent recordings,my first experience of it was bollics,so i shut the door on it,im going to reopen the door and give it another shot with a good mp3,and hopefully it works out!

Have a try with the dogs squeeker in the toys im sure it will work a treat ATB
