micky73 0 Posted January 26, 2009 Report Share Posted January 26, 2009 hey all been on this site for a while now im in aussie and hunt wild pig, have a pat terrier luv her to bits has a great work rate but think her legs are abit short was thinkin of crossing with a whippet , my uncle in nz has had airdale terrier crosses for a long time now but all the terrier types over this way are show bred except pats and jadgs, my question here is there any working lines back over there that have abit more leg or any guys on here that breed there line like this!! i prefer hard dogs that will bail the larger pigs just know how well the terriers hunt and that you guys live were the terriers and bull type dogs originated any help would be much appreciated cheers Quote Link to post

I thought you would need a bull breed. well im more interested in the bailers terrier for finding ability most good dogs will bite pig on nuts which will sit him down then dog will bail him (bark) when pig trys to run dog will grab back end again are all of the the people bloodline you speak about are they all patterdales have been told that the wheeler line has some leg on it any ideas or info welcome cheers mike.
