DIGGIT 6
If i was you, i would go for a whippetxgrey x collie grey. They are proven workers, good on all game save your money , and wait till a good litter comes up. bird's right mate look at you options, also you need to think about the ground your running on, is it open in a big space or is it like horse padocks small tight space. is it just rabbits your running or bigger things. work that out then get a dog that works the best in that environment. I think it's more of a ferreting/mooching dog he's after, rather than a full on all rounder. Correct me if I'm wrong Gilly mate! Thats right Malt, just for bunnys nothing more, nothing less. well then all you need is a nice whippet /grey / collie, about 23" 24" will be spot on, try to get a 2nd cross if you can, i just think a 2nd cross has a bit more about them. hope this helps. dankay123 33
i know the lad who bred these. he is in rochdale and is no fool in the lurcher game. he bred a 1st cross whip/grey X ES Spaniel and they were too slow to catch the bunnies but could smell them miles away. so he crossed it back to a full whippet which are these pups. the ad should say 3/4 whippet X 1/4 spaniel because the greyhound blood wll be very weak due to the outcrosses. they should be top little rabbiting dogs. i have just bought a pup off this lad (not from this litter) and its comin on a treat. dodger 2,765
I stand by what i said, i think you'd be made up with one of those pups for the rabbit job, good speed, stamina, brains, good boots, nose, bidability, eagerness to please, its your call tho, atb with what ever you decide.
