they are called kitts, babies are what we have

you have babies stubby lol

the obvious signs that a jill is expecting kits is weight gain ,but a phantom pregnancy they also gain weight ,i think you need to learn a little more about ferrets first before breeding them as its obvious you know little knowledge with the question your asking

rather than critisise over what he called them wouldnt it serve better to give some advice you being a mod and all just a thought mate people arnt going to want to use this site if all there gonna get is grief every time they post I know that ferrets have kits but have refered to them as babys my self as have most. ;)

Look for weight gain a change in temprement can sometimes happen and she should go out of season if she is in with any outher ferrets mate your best to seperate them just in case and give her some extra food and handle her suporting her belly good luck pal. ;)

1281 members on site think your wrong,

I just love it, checking posts daily, I get to see lots of stupid/silly/sarcastic/offensive replies to posts, yet I leave what I class as a tongue in cheek reply, and get jumped on for "being a mod", rather than a member too

ffs, the guy asked a question so he could learn something which is the aim of forums like this! where did he say he was breeding ferrets ? he might possibly be asking so that when he does breed from his stock, he will know what to look for ! everyone has to learn, even you and i knew feck all once upon a time but with asking questions of those who claim to know, we learn stuff !

and stubby.......i wouldn't call you a member......you seem such a decent bloke :D :D

like has already been said.. she'll come out of season, put on weight etc...we didn't notice the real weight gain till closer to the end... but this can happen with a false pregnancy too.. which is rather more common with very early seasons .. ( had two last year too)

a ferret is pregnant for aprox 42 days ... after this... if she's in kit.. you 'll have babies within days... or... she wont.. and her body will revert to her regular state ( ie for a false pregnancy) and she will likely come back into season...
