Guest night time my time Posted January 24, 2009 Report Share Posted January 24, 2009 (edited) can you still by cartridges for the no,3? my mate has one and i have ferrets so we thought we'll shoot a few over the top of them for a change but his 12 bore would be a bit over powered for the jobbut hasnt been shooting with it in years,so nither of us know if you still can get them,? They were desigined for shooting "pests" in orchards. That includes squirells and bullfinches and other bud eating birds, hence the lack of popularity nowadays. Crikey they've got dear...They where £4.00 for a box of 50 foichii last time I looked ......I once got given some solid shot for the 9mm garden gun,they originally came from france,they where about 1/2" long and about 100 grain soft lead bullet...they packed a hell of a punch ..but as it was a smooth bore it was very inaccurate.
