Guest mickyrichardson
Well after alot of nagging off the nephew he got me out this morning and even the old fella managed to get out of bed. Well after getting out my pit at 6:45 getting the dogs and stinkers sorted 730 ready for the off a nice bit of ground frost. arrived on the land 8 o'clock nephew and old man never wanted to get out the motor as it was cold that is the reason my nephew thought putting 2 hats and 6 pairs of sox would keep him warmer lol.first field produced a couple of bunnys out the reeds for the dogs and a little 2 hole run through ferret in bolted to the Saluki cross a couple of sharp bends keeping it off the wall that was number 3 and another one marked by toby in a old half knocked down dry stone wall so a arm in that was number 4 and only been there 15 mins then down the wall we went one out the reeds off the seat for toby then one pushed out for Tip a nice little coarse then a devestating strike which brought the tally upto 6. another couple marked up a taken for toby finding them sat tight on there seats that was 8 then it went quite for a field or 2 due to flooded ground then a little four holer produced a couple into the nets nice quick bolts from the white lady 10(no digging needed BRIMMER) lol Tip took a good rabbit that tried to make it 2 the other side of the field not wise 11 Another little 2 holer white lady in nice rabbit out nice quick rabbit hit the net with the ferret on its ass about to leave but toby wouldnt leave telling me there was gonna be number 13 and he was right then number 14 out the reeds this time toby missed it on its seat but picked it up within 5 yards then my nephew seen a bunny drop in a little four holer one bolted to the net which luke(nephew) put down so he picked up the rabbit and dispatched of it like a pro another rabbit tried to out run tip not a wise thing to do with her another good run and she had number 16 then the final rabbit of the day was marked in a little one holer which proved to be a foot away so 17 rabbits a great day out with the nephew and old man The old man stood just as proud with his pride and joy Tip Toby marking the wall Luke having a pose with a few with the hounds a little set under control by toby more photo's up shortly Quote Link to post
