runforyourlife 361
In fact you could catch a 20lb+ from a scabby troutwater that was stock fed, and it would be dwafted by the length of these fish .. Quote Link to post

NID 0
And as for people saying that Lomond , Awe and waters of that size have been hammers makes me laugh. It is impossible to hammer A 24mile long water. I would place a bet with anybody that on a mormal day, if they boated the length of lomond they would see no more than 5 pike anglers apart from in the 2 bays at either end(alltho there are many other bays). The only time the majority of these bay caught pike she a hook bait is when they move in to one of these bays. And they can move out of the bays back into the deep water when ever they like, and not be seen for another year, or never again.. Russ think your missing the point here,at certain times of the year Lomond and awe do get hammered and that is fact, i'am not talking about 24 miles of loch getting hammered as you know. AND as for taking a bet, thats not the point either, all i am saying is at certain times of the year ,at certain spots and not just speaking of bay's at balmaha and ardlui , seen it happen year in year out,atb NID. barney412 0
agree 100% with you nid, loch lomond may be 24 miles long but very few of that 24 miles hold good numbers of pike, and the good areas do get hammered. PS. i have always found livebaits live longer when hooked through the dorsal, if hooked through the tail too close to the lateral line they normally die a lot quicker(except jack pike)!
