I don't think the subject matter is the issue. It's the way the threads spiral out of control into several pages of slanging, bitching, whining, etc, and glazed with a couple of PM death threats.

 

The day people can have a sensible discussion, about anything on here, is the day I'll personally ask Ian for a debate forum.

 

For the members that can remember the 'Ye Olde Flame Threads' you'll understand why we hover over the delete button every time we see the word paki, p***y, muslim, Iraq, and Taliban.

 

Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone has one and I won't show you mine if you don't show me yours.

i dont see what the problem is this a genral talk , you should be able to talk about anything. including racism, relgion, and imigration, there can be few people on here that wouldn't agree it needs tightnig up in this country.

 

 

also at this point let me add that my mrs is black, and my daughter is mixed race, halfcast call it what you like it doesnt offend me.

 

so whilst i hate racism, people should feel free to express them selvs. and i also hate the double standards , and folk playing the race card.

Again the problem isn't the subject matter, it's the way the threads end up. Look at 'The Facts' thread that someone posted. 155 replies and it gets gradually more poisonous the further down you go.

 

The fact is that free speech doesn't exist here. This is a hunting forum, yes, but it's also private property. The rules are the ones that you agree to abide by when you sign up...

 

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, violative of any law or otherwise damaging to hunting in general.

 

... yet on a daily basis otherwise sensible discussions turn into childish slanging matches. These rules aren't created by the administrator, or the mods, but by the people that assign the web space for the forum. Some forums have been shut down, at source, for lesser infringements of the rules so we're lucky to get away with what we do.

Well what a load of old bollocks that is ! so the threads the other day about poofters were not sexually orientated,vulgar or obscene ?....the ones where certain mods were talking about giving it to each other up the harris !!

If you'd actually read what I wrote you'd have noted that it isn't the subject matter that's the problem.

If we enforced all of the rules we wouldn't have much of a forum, so back to the original point most people here get away with quite a bit.

 

You are more than welcome to express your political views.

If the threads deteriorate into a 150 page slanging match of bitching, whining, and death threats (like most threads on race, politics, Plummer terriers, and M**kbrick) then don't be surprised if the thread isn't there in the morning.

 

Which bit of that are you struggling with?

 

It's not a difficult concept to understand. We show leniency but will not tolerate complete idiocy!

I,ll tell you which bit im struggling with.....the bit that gives a moderator of an internet hunting forum the right to decide what HE thinks is distatasteful.......IE....a discussion on bandits sticking objects up ones arse is fine but saying you despise multiculturalism is distasteful !!....then again i suppose im not really struggling with it at all its probably a power thing.......they more than likely never got a prefects badge and this has made up for it !!....you carry on lad.
