speedystu 0
Just going through my fox list and was wondering what was the best round that i used or most effective!, It was the Winchester 55gr superior ballistic tip! your thoughts??? Quote Link to post
coldweld 65
I use 55 grn hornaday SPSX , not saying they are any better than anything else but that is what i buy. Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
Ballistic tips, or equivalent, tend to have the best fragmentation, and have been designed in 224 calibre (and lightweight 243) to kill for fox-sized animals. They expand well, and thanks to good ballistics hold a lot of their energy. Hence their high price! I find an American Eagle 50gr JHP works very nicely out to 250 yards or so though, and they are cheap. Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
i use the winchester 50grain silver bt ammo and there superb. havent seen one get up yet ! softpoints make more mess on the foxes though Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
Centrefires As a general response in the range of .222-.243 a lightish Ballistic tip would be my suggestion. But all land, distances and problems are different so ..........................!! Quote Link to post

Mr_Logic 5
Yes, although mainly in my CZ 527 as that gets used in the field more, since it's nice and light. Quote Link to post
