Guest Catcher
I dont know if this one has come up before. At what stage or age shoud a dog have it,s first run. Will it depend on breed, age, ground ,ability day, night. Some people say run the dog as soon as it,s ready. The problem is a lot dont know when that is.Some people cant wait They just whant to talk about what the dog has done and at what age.I Know when you get your first dog it,s hard. You are champing at the bit for your first kill you will make mistakes and run the dog to early)BUT WHY WHY WHY do we make the same mistake again and again I have always said a young dog should never be run untill it,s well trained. An untrained dog is a liabilty to you and all around you.Dont listen to your mates who might be slagging you.If you know your dog you will know when the time has come. What do you think.
